TraceRoute
Traceroute is a nice function which lets you see the route data takes to get from the source server to a particular destination. This is a great way to determine if your site is reachable, and to help figure out why it is going slow or acting strangely. Traceroute is one of the standard tools used by any competent network engineer.
Try putting an address in the Traceroute line below to see an example of this function in action. Note that this can take a considerable amount of time.
Note: This tool has been disabled due to abuse.
There are many traceroute services on the internet which allow you to get this information from many different locations. For example, if you wanted to see how someone in Germany might get to your site, you could find a traceroute server in Germany, enter your domain name and find out in a few seconds.
